There really is something beautiful and touching about the way that Amelie celebrates and cherishes the often overlooked mundanity of life. Being stuck in a routine. The writing of books and painting of pictures that no one will see. Collecting photos and cracking creme brûlée. In the world of Amelie it feels like there are more colours, and the things that are dull seem to shine so much brighter.
