James: I think that’s what’s special about working on Sean’s movies, because that’s the running thread. What areas of culture have we sort of stepped over and not looked at and didn’t pay attention to? They’re all over the place. They’re all in front of us. So if anybody walks away going: I didn’t think about this area in this space and time, and I do now, and I see a bunch of human beings that otherwise went unnoticed to me. I mean, isn’t that what film-making is supposed to do, like, these really universal feelings that we all have. These mythologies to make us sort of relate to each other as just human beings on an eye-to-eye level, no greater, no worse. [x]
