I really don’t like how around 80% of Felix’s storyline was centered around Lake. I understand that the writers really wanted to build their story and to make us root for the “nerdy/loser best friend finally gets the main girl’s popular best friend he had a crush on since forever” trope but I really didn’t feel it with them. Felix was by far my favorite character and his storyline had so much potential. The one time he actually opened up to someone about his family and we got a glimpse of his life was with Lake, who literally a few minutes later rejected him because she was ashamed, just like she did multiple times throughout the show. The 2-3 scenes he had with Pilar were way more interesting and filled with chemistry than any scene he had with Lake. Even his friendship with Victor could have been more developed. We could have learned more about his mother, about his past, about his interests and instead his screen time was wasted on pointless hookups with a girl who was barely interested in him until the last second, and every time I thought he would move on and finally allow himself to get what he deserves, he just kept on forgiving Lake and taking her back. I really hope S2 focuses more on him and his other relationships
